Sonia Tremblay

Holder of a master's degree in psychology and formerly a neuropsychologist, Sonia Tremblay has been a professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Cégep Garneau for 14 years. Affiliated with the police techniques program, she teaches the course "Communication en milieu de travail et auprès d’une clientèle mentalement perturbée" as well as "Intervention en situation de crise et gestion de stress".

Her patrol accompaniment, both in Quebec City and Montreal, has allowed her to concretely witness police work and the stress it generates during interventions. This combination of theoretical mastery and field experience has ultimately inspired Sonia to develop key tools that will enable all emergency responders to better protect themselves from the repercussions of stress, and to better protect others.
